telegraph cove whale watching

Ok so supposedly Telegraph Cove has the best whale watching in the world according to National Geographic. From what I saw I though that echo adventures was a million times better. Telegraph Cove is exeptional though we stayed there for 2 days and did 3 whale watching trips. We got special treatment becuase of our photography skills. But when we went it was not the right time, all the whales were somewere else it wasent the right season. Telegraph Cove is absolutly stunning in many ways. Just wasent great timing for whale watching. On the first two pictures, if you look closley you can see one of the whales going for a bird. with it's mouth wide open. And then you look at the one below it. and you can see the bird getting away. Look closley for that. Because that is an extremely rare sighting. Because whales don't eat birds, They just eat small fish.

telegraph cove

Telegraph cove located approximately 125 km northwest of Campbell River, is a community of about 20 on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. The community grew out of a one-room station at the northern terminus of the Campbell River telegraph line. Next to the arts and crafts gallery stands the home of community pioneer Fred Wastell, whose father purchased most of the land around the cove. Together with Japanese investors, he established a chum salmon saltery and a small sawmill. telegraph cove was also an old fishing town with those fishers from like the deadliest catch on the discovery channel but now all the houses that fisherman lived in are rerenovated to be cabins to stay in. so got the nicest cabin and it was absolutely beautiful.

roadtrip up to Telegraph cove.

cowicham bay!! echo adventures

Whale watching cruise number 1. So my friend Matt and his dad went to Echo Adventures. The weather was absolutly horific. It was pouring ran. and freezing cold not a very fun enviroment to go play outside in. but I think it's the best enviroment for whale watching. Simone our captain said that we saw 40-50 diffrent whales. All killer whales. And with the rain the pictures came out so dramatic.. wish I had used more profesional glass, to get a clearer image

Englishman river

Wow englishman river is probably the most beautiful place I have ever been. My photos coulden't even capture it's beauty. I tried though. Englishman river is special, Becuase it has over 40 waterfalls and the river spreads more then 40 kilometers long. It's absolutly breathtaking.
